Your Mental Health is Your Wealth!
Depression,
Anxiety, Stress, Fatigue, Insomnia, Narcolepsy, Addiction and many more factors
are the ones affecting our Mental Health.
“Dear reader, something or the other might bothering you at this moment and you cannot share it because of society humiliating and misunderstanding the concept of 'Clinical Depression', 'Anxiety Disorders', etc. but now the times are changing and today, i.e. 10th October
2019 being observed as World Mental Health Day, I hereby share my thoughts on Mental
Health Awareness.“
Nowadays most
youngsters on social media share about depression as if it is a trending topic to seek attention. But I urge each one of you to please don’t take
it as a joke because people genuinely suffering from mental illness find it
very difficult to open about what exactly is bothering them and how
to get rid of it?
I cannot
figure out from where should I begin to elaborate more but all I want is to make
people understand
WHY MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS IS THE NEED OF THE HOUR?
WHY MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS IS THE NEED OF THE HOUR?
Why India is ranked #1 in the list of most depressed countries in the world?
Right from the schooling years children are forced to score marks to get into colleges. Hitting their mid-teens, they're forced to complete assignments for being able to get in a reputated B-School. Thereafter ending up in a desk job where they're enslaved in the corporate world. Then s/he enters mother/fatherhood and continue this manmade loop. I dont see Mental Freedom here.
One gets trapped inside this loop just because everyone else in the soceity is forced to follow the same old norm.
Hence no one notices how population is growing and resources are getting minimal. The loop goes on and on and there is no peace of mind here.
THIS IS THE HARSH REALITY.

Broken
dreams, break up, death of a close one, failing in exams, defeat, frustrating work
life and such similar phenomena triggers distubance in our Mental Health causing Anxeity & Depression. It is all about how one can cope with it and eventually overcome it with some emotional and medical support. I am not
saying it is impossible to get over it but the amount of time and tears it
takes can be reduced if proper measures are taken by spreading awareness of
Mental Health.
It is indeed just like any other sickness, but the only difference is that mental sickness is very subtle and hardly visible, and this is why most the people tend to make fun of or ignore the ones who actually need mental support.

Ignorance
towards depression can lead to intoxication and substance abuse which gives rise to
addiction.
One is
prone to get hit by Alcoholism when s/he is mentally ill for a longer time. It
can last nearly upto one or more years depending upon the catastrophic outcomes
faced by the person after falling for alcohol. Not only alcohol but one can get inclined towards intoxicating illegal substances like afeem (Opium), cocaine and what not?
In short,
Mental Illness is lethal and can only cause damage to the mankind. If not cured
properly then this can harm the generations to come. We all are aware of the suicide attempts' count in our country.
I know I
did not jot any solutions to the above problems. I just wrote down what is
visible through my eyes but not spoken due to unknown reasons. Our society
must take steps forward to unite and fight against depression.
All I want
is to make Depression an official state of mind. _/\_
